Breakfast at 8.15am was followed by rota duties - sandwich makers, eco-warriors, hoovering, boot room tidying and dining room place setters. What a good job they all did!
Following a short minibus ride into Lynmouth, the morning was spent rock-pooling and what amazing finds they all had - crabs, fish, seaweed and shells to name but a few. After lunch on the beach, they clambered over, under and through the rocks on the beach. Some gaps in the rock really were a tight squeeze but they all managed it with a little help and encouragement from their friends. This was followed by fire making and marshmallow toasting. We then drove up through Lynton to the Valley of the Rocks. This was an amazing ridge walk/scramble/rock climb with fabulous views. Dinner was beef stew and dumplings followed by trifle. They are now back outside in the grounds doing an orienteering course before their bedtime hot chocolate!
