We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and committed Teaching Assistant who would be supporting children’s needs and learning. This post is initially for one year with future possibilities of becoming permanent. The role will include working 1:1 with pupils as well as supporting within the classrooms, lunchtimes and playtimes. We are looking for someone who can be adaptable, proactive and positive. Using creative ways to engage, promote confidence, and positively influence meaningful, fun, supportive learning and progress.

Essential Experience in:

  • Providing one-to-one or small group support to pupils with special educational needs.

  • Assisting the classroom teacher in planning and delivering tailored lessons and activities.

  • Supporting students with personal care and promoting independence.

  • Creating a safe and supportive learning environment for all pupils

  • Be Trustworthy and discreet

  • Have excellent communication skills

  • Supervise pupils on visits, trips and out of school activities as required

    Desirable experience in:

  • Computing and Technolgy

  • First Aid

  • Health and Safety

  • Knowledge of the SEND code of Practice
